Our Mission Statement
NSCC is dedicated to providing high quality care that ensures a safe and nurturing environment for the children in our care. We strive to establish strong relationships between our families, children, and staff because we value and practice open communication every day. By working together with families NSCC makes sure all children develop at their own pace to help ensure every child has a successful future!

NSCC is proud to be a part of ExceleRate IL with a Silver Circle of Quality. This means that NSCC goes above and beyond the requirements given by DCFS to provide high quality childcare. To achieve this level from ExceleRate IL, NSCC has to meet or exceed specific quality benchmarks on the learning environment and instructional quality, along with selected program administrative standards; staff qualifications; and professional development. NSCC has been part of our state quality program since 2012!
Creative Curriculum
NSCC strives to educate children while also creating a play base environment for exploration and discovery. We use Creative Curriculum where the teachers plan activities that include but are not limited to fine motor skills, large motor skills, art, math, language, science, books and song/fingerplays that relate to the weekly theme. Creative curriculum is research based with 38 objectives for development and learning that help the educator learn the “what”, “why” and “how” of early childhood education. Most of the learning and teaching is play based so children can learn at their own pace and interests. Educational play is one of the most important building blocks for early childhood education.
