Kangaroo Classroom
4 years to 6 years
Welcome to the Kangaroo classroom! Our Pre-K/K classroom is licensed by DCFS for 20 children ages 4 years thru 6 years. The teacher to child ratio is 1:10 with a blending of older preschool students and kindergarten students. We focus on preparing children for their future education path, working on a large variety developmental skills. This is one of our three preschool classrooms that uses Creative Curriculum offering appropriate, whole-child learning experiences.
Meet the Teachers:
Erika Woodward
Erika has been our Pre-K/K teacher since joining NSCC in 2019. She has her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and has been working with children for 10 + years. She says her favorite part about working with children is watching them learn and grow.
Madi Sutton
Madi has been a part of our team since joining our Two year old classroom in 2023. She was also in our preschool room before finding the perfect fit in our Pre-K/K classroom. Madi says that her favorite part of working with children is watching them understand and retain the information they are being taught.
