Tracie Sampson
Owner and Director
Tracie describes herself as a leader, a busybody, a sportsmom, and an LLCC professor.
Tracie has earned her Early Childhood Teaching Certificate, a Master’s in Early Childhood Administration, her ECE level 5 credential, Infant/Toddler level 2 credential, and her IL Director’s level 2 credential.
Tracie started working at NSCC while she was still in high school. She continued working and observing at a variety of childcare centers throughout college before becoming the Owner and Director of NSCC in May 2007.
She says her favorite part of working in childcare is watching our hard work shine through the eyes of the children as they learn and grow.
Ginny Matthews
Assistant Director
Ginny is a wife and mom of 3 boys and prides herself in her independence and ability to accomplish any task on her own. You can
find her spending her free time at home completing DIY and Pinterest projects.
Ginny has completed her Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education in September 2021. She currently has her IL Director Credential Level 2, ECE Credential Level 5 and Infant/Toddler Credential level 5.
She began working at NSCC in March of 2012. Her education and experience has made her Director qualified under IL DCFS
Standards.
Ginny says her favorite part of working in childcare is interacting with the children and having awesome conversations with them.
Zoe Atteberry
Assistant Director, Monkey Classroom
Zoe is a mother of two girls, and lots of animals and loves spending time with her little family outdoors. When Zoe has free time she enjoys watching her girls play softball and doing outdoor activities as a family.
Zoe worked in childcare since 2017, completing her Associates in Early Childhood Education in 2024 and continued on to her Bachelor's that will be complete in 2026!
She says her favorite part of working in childcare
is watching each child individually reach their learning goals for each milestone they reach.
Lynsie Benning
NSCC-SAP Site Director
Lynsie is our School Age Program Director, she joined our team again in 2024. She was previously one of our Preschool teacher assistant and has since completed her CDA making her DCFS teacher qualified. She also obtained her School Age Credential.
Lynsie has been working in childcare for for over 8 years with many different age groups.
Her favorite part about working in childcare is watching the children gain so much knowledge and being happy all of the time.
Haley Schmidt
Float Teacher
Haley Joined our NSCC team in 2022 as our Jaguar teacher. She enjoyed and loved all the children she helped shape their learning before becoming our Float teacher in 2026.
Haley is currently working on finishing her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Leadership and loves being able to go into each classroom and creating bonds with all the children in our program.
Haley is a wife and mom of two boys and loves listening to metal music and watching movies with her family. Her favorite part of working with children is watching the spark in their eyes when they are learning and excited about what they are exploring.
Rhonda Caldwell
Cook and Pre-K/K Room
Rhonda joined our team in 2020 as our cook. She has previously cooked in a large facility for many people. She is dedicated in providing quality meals to our students and staff.
Rhonda has gained experience working with children from spending time with her four grandchildren and working previously in our program.
She says her favorite part of working with and around children is hearing the laughter daily, and them giving her compliments on their lunch when she drops it off.
